Made with Sailor’s proprietary nano-pigment process, Kiwaguro Ultra Black Ink offers lightfastness and deep, intense blacks with a low-maintenance formulation that fountain pen users love. The carbon black particles in Kiwaguro won’t clog your pen; in our tests, we didn’t experience the hard starts and messiness that can be associated with other pigment blacks.
Sailor Kiwaguro comes in a heavy glass bottle with square edges and a faceted black cap. The bottle label is made from washi paper and features visible fiber inclusions—an elegant reminder of this ink’s Japanese heritage.
