Description
Impasto medium, also called megilp, is a thick gel used to define textured layers of oil colors. You can use it to create thick preparations of any traditional oil color, including Schmincke Mussini.
Use about 10-30% impasto medium in your paint mixture. Then, you can apply it with a stiff brush or palette knife. The natural tone of the oil paint will be unaffected by this colorless medium, and thick layers painted with impasto medium are less likely to crack.
