Inspired by traditional Tibetan prayer wheels, this unique incense burner from Nepal is made from a combination of copper and brass and highlighted with turquoise and coral accents.
The concept of a prayer wheel was inspired by the method of Buddha’s teaching – “turning the wheel of dharma”. Dharma, in Buddhism, means law and order; in other words, the laws of the universe. Prayer wheels are commonly found outside of Tibetan temples. It’s believed that as the wheel is spun, the practitioner is gaining wisdom and destroying negative karma, and therefore progressing along the spiritual path.
